Is it Fact?
This option will take you through the reasons, both common and uncommon, why people believe in this effect. It will hopefully provide you with assurance of your stance and also, a couple new pieces of information that you can acquire to more accurately present your view.
Water and Animals:
Different examples of how the moon has affected us can be seen by simply looking at the creatures that we call pets. Many pet owners have repeatedly brought up in concern for their pets that their entire attitude and personality shifts at points into a different animal. Dogs have always been known to howl at the moon when full, could this be something as simple as an interest in the moon or some type of sense that we humans do not possess. Could it be that, just as a dog hears something we can't, they also can hear, see, or even just feel as though something about the change in lunar cycles could also be changing something more than just tides.

Following off of that, another point in which many theorist choose to follow is one that pertains to the importance of water being affected by the moon. The tide in many lakes and oceans across the planet show that the moon does rise or lower the water levels, depending upon the time of year and the cycle it is currently in. Following this I bring up the point that humans themselves are filled with water so much that we are nearly two-thirds completely water. While it is a stretch to state that we can be affected by the moon's gravitational pull, there have numerous accounts of how critically the human mind can be affected by the decrease or increase of the amount of fluids in the body at any given time.
